Sales Representative - Facility Maintenance Brampton

We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for our facility maintenance company located in Brampton, ON

We are an an established Canadian facility maintenance company.  We provide a variety of services to large retail and commercial businesses nationally.  The Head Office is located in Brampton, Ontario with branches in Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal and Halifax. Department Purpose/ Function

Develop new business through professional sales and marketing activities nation-wide, to ensure company’s sustainable growth and profitability in accordance with our company’s quality standards.  This position will report to the VP of Business Development.

Job Summary: The Sales Representative  will source and sell Janitorial and Maintenance services, both  inside and outside (snow removal, lawn care, parking lot repairs and line painting etc.) to the desired market and other potential customers by offering competitive prices, high quality and excellent customer service to meet and exceed their expectations in an efficient and cost effective manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

Identify, contact and qualify potential customers to sell janitorial services to retail stores and multipurpose buildings within the assigned territory and according to established sales and marketing parameters.

Negotiate and deliver competitive quotes to current and potential customers in order to acquire new business.

Prepare bids, provide accurate calculations with approval from Senior Analyst and VP, Business Development, and gather the necessary information in a timely manner.

Prepare company presentations, bid delivery & closing, and start up procedures with operations.

Negotiate contracts according to company’s profit margins.

Increase sales by developing strong and long-lasting relationships with current and potential customers.

Source and turn potential prospects into active and profitable customers.

Determine and communicate to the Director of Sales & Marketing any new sales opportunities or market trends.

Actively participate in sales meetings, report progress, analyze accounts and provide recommendations to improve sales activities.

Participate in industry trade shows and sales training. Constantly monitor sales results versus sales quota and prepare sales reports as required.

Update and maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) , data management, follow up and reporting systems.

Ensure health and safety compliance.

Build strong relationships with customers and be an ongoing representative on behalf of our company.

Respond immediately to all customer concerns and requests.

As our representative, project a professional image in your interactions with customers, including but not limited to (company dress code, communication etiquette, and preparation for meetings, timely responses, follow-ups and sense of urgency.

Submit monthly business related expenses for Director’s approval.

Submit the billing worksheet to the accounting department to bill the customer accordingly in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

Perform all daily functions in alignment with company mission, vision, and values

Work in compliance with Health & Safety policies and legislation, and take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of all employees and business partners

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and labour laws

Actively participate in and contribute during meetings, sessions, or company projects

Protect company assets from damage and misuse

Perform other related duties as may be required from time to time

Job Requirements and Expectation

Available to address customer needs and concerns in a timely manner.

Willing to travel frequently to the customer’s location.

Skills: Outstanding negotiator and consultative professional selling skills

In-depth knowledge of the janitorial services, market pricing, labor requirements, equipment and supplies required.

Ability to source, prepare and present janitorial bids

Solid market knowledge and clear understanding of customer needs

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding organizational skills, detail-oriented and customer driven.

Strong mathematical, and technical skills

Superior time management and problem solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and solve problems as they arise.

Ability to work independently, work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines.

Ability to exude positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment

Education/Experience

Certified Sales Professional (C.S.P.) training considered an asset.

Business administration courses or related field

Minimum of 3 years experience in the cleaning industry preferred
