OMAC World Class Martial Arts is a leading and innovative Martial Arts and Tae Kwon Do school. OMAC is able to draw upon over 40 years of experience teaching the benefits of Tae Kwon Do while offering the joy of exciting classes to thousands of adults, children and families in Mississauga, Burlington, Oakville and the Greater Toronto area.

OMAC’s founder, Grand Master Kim, is a 9th degree black belt and is internationally recognized for his empowering Tae Kwon Do teaching methods. OMAC Burlington continues in the Grand Masters methods and traditions of teaching and dedication; providing only safe, clean and spacious learning environments where all ages can learn and practice the discipline and art of Tae Kwon Do.

OMAC is currently seeking to recruit their newest talent. We are growing quickly and find ourselves in in need of our next spectacular Instructor for our locations in Burlington, Oakville and (our newest location) Vaughan!

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: Lead and assist in afternoon, evening and weekend training of children and adult classes as scheduled. Group and/ or individual training as needed.

Beyond regular class schedules, must be able to lead After School programs, PD Day/ March Break and Summer Camp programs as needed. This includes Tae Kwon Do training, organised sports, games and scheduled school outings.

Shared responsibility of leading scheduled, weekend Birthday Parties and any other campaign/ promotional events as required.

Regular interaction with parents and inter-school communication required in order to maintain cohesion and expected levels of customer service and training.

Provide support to neighbouring OMAC schools as needed: willingness and capacity to travel and instruct at multiple locations if required.

Minimum Qualifications: Completion of Post-Secondary education preferred. Must hold minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt certification in Tae Kwon Do and/ or Karate, Preferably 2 or more years of teaching experience as Assistant or Instructor of Martial Arts or related field (athletic, dance, gymnastics etc.).

Excellent sparring and pattern knowledge (recollection and memorization) appreciated.

Knowledge of training terms in Korean as asset. High energy, highly motivated approach and professional appearance. Must possess excellent communication skills, pro-active leadership qualities and demonstrated friendly, team-player attitude. Demonstrate reliability, sense of organisation and pride of work, coupled with an eagerness to excel and see your students succeed and reach their potential as well.

Valid Ontario, “G” class driver’s licence, in good standing; additional class F, E, C or B licencing appreciated. First Aid and CPR credentials appreciated or willingness to obtain. Criminal background and Vulnerable Sector check required. Salary Range: $38,000 - $42,000 , Negotiable based on qualifications.
