Software Support Technician, Location, Midrand, Johannesburg, Advertised By Agency, Job Type Full-Time, Core Technical Competencies

Essential: Experience in PC hardware, Minimum 1-2 years in coordinating, planning and administration in an IT environment, Knowledge of the following Microsoft products; Microsoft Office, SQL, etc. Liaison with project team, software users and business. Basic internet protocol knowledge (HTTP; SMTP; FTP; SOAP), Knowledge of firewall, proxy’s and virus programs, Knowledge of LAN and WAN, Valid Passport, Advantageous, Exposure to vehicle recovery systems

Key Responsibility Areas: To provide support on software products to users, To upgrade products to required levels, To ensure optimum response to users in the field, To draw daily reports of requests, To react promptly on any problems, faults, requests and or changes required by users, To provide training on the software. The creation and setup of clients fleets

Personal Attributes: Have an aptitude for problem solving, Have good communication skills and relate to different individuals on many levels, Special Requirements, Will supply vehicle

Minimum requirements: A and #43 and or N43 Certificates, Microsoft SQL server 2008, At least 2 years’ experience, Self-manageable
