Project Accountant, Nottingham Trent University - College of Arts and Science, Location: Nottingham, Salary: £26,274 to £30,434 per annum, pro rata, Hours: Part Time, Contract Type: Contract / Temporary

The College of Arts and Science embraces a wide range of disciplines through its three schools (“Arts & Humanities”, “Animal, Rural & Environmental Science”, and “Science & Technology”) based over three campuses. Its income is derived from teaching, research and commercial activities.

We’re seeking to appoint a talented individual to manage the financial aspects of a large US Government funded contract. This will involve working with academic and financial contacts from collaborative partner organizations to produce and consolidate management reports and information, preparing and submitting financial claims for the University and Partners, disseminating funds and planning and managing external audits, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

The successful applicant must be highly adaptable and able to step quickly into a demanding role as a key business partner to a number of non-financial managers. Excellent communication and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret & summarise business information and to provide financial leadership.

The role is based at our Clifton Campus, although some travel to our City and Brackenhurst campuses may be needed from time to time.
