Cayman Prep and High School, a Christian School owned and operated by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, is the largest private school in the Cayman Islands and has a student body of over 900 students, ranging from Kindergarten through A-level on two sites: Primary and High School. The co-educational School follows a British-based international curriculum and is renowned for providing a stimulating learning environment in which our students become critical, creative thinkers, responsible citizens and lifelong learners. This is evident in our consistent record of outstanding academic achievements, pastoral care and extra-curricular activities.

The High School Principal reports directly to the Director, and is a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the school. Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Director, the Principal will take responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning, ongoing curriculum development, leadership and management, staffing and day-to-day running of the school. The Principal provides guidance and direction for members of the High School staff and oversees the continued development and provision of a high quality international curriculum firmly rooted in Christian principles according to the ideals of the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. The members of the High School’s senior management team report to the High School Principal.

For this demanding role, the successful candidate will satisfy the following minimum requirements: Be a committed and practicing Christian, An honours university degree with an internationally recognized teaching qualification, A Master’s degree in education or equivalent, An internationally recognized School Senior Leadership qualification would be an asset, A minimum of five (5) years as Head/Principal/Vice Principal and ten (10) years of teaching experience in a multicultural international school providing a curriculum up to Key Stage 5, Significant experience in curriculum development and assessment, Excellent leadership, analytical, decision making, organisational, communication and ICT skills, Ability to multi task and manage multiple high priorities, Be quality conscious, dynamic, innovative, adaptable and results oriented.

Salary range: CI$64,000 – CI$85,000 per annum and will be commensurate with experience. Other benefits include medical insurance, contribution to a pension plan and relocation allowance, including airfare.
