Location, Durban City, Advertised By Agency, Job Type Full-Time, Cost Accountant, Minimum 3 year appropriate tertiary qualification, Degree or diploma. (CIMA/ NDCA/ B Comm (Cost Accountant etc) min Minimum 5 years cost accountant experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably food). Must have experience with BOM (variable weight an advantage). Must have been involved in the BOM setup, monitoring and reporting. Stock control and systems in a manufacturing and retail stores environment. Margin control, Must have experience with exception reporting. Stock Cycles and management and reporting thereon (Stock days, seasonal cycles, model stock, and deviations.) Optimizing the stock holding to ensure operational efficiency and minimize total stock holding value. Understanding of logistical efficiencies and advantage. Experience in allocating labor, machine hours, overheads to the BOM / production runs and reporting on the deviations. Experience with assisting the production staff with their scheduling and planning in the factory. Experience with setting up systems, Person must be self-motivated, deadline driven, very organized. Must have the appropriate life skills/people skills.

Note: The person will be required to work some weekends and public holidays and extra hours when and if required to The Factory is more or less a large cold room; please make sure you are aware of this when applying.
