Capital and Debt Advisory Manager Financial Restructuring Services Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of, professionals in countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimizing, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance and Infrastructure, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Corporate Finance Strategy, Transaction Tax, and Valuation, Business Modeling, Capital and Debt Advisory and Economic Advisory. Our global network of Capital and Debt Advisory Services professionals help clients raise capital, advise on capital structure and execute complex balance sheet restructurings. The team has decades of experience guiding clients through capital events, and understands the dynamics of every layer of the capital structure.

The role: Support in the development of effective funding strategies for transactions and businesses and appraise the relative merits of each Identifying funders and investors and negotiating terms Personally execute designated procedures and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements, depending on the size of the engagement Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and make sure that delivered client work is of high quality. As part of this, you ll anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate Provide advice and technical input as well as have extensive engagement with the client Utilise your extensive knowledge of information tools including Bloomberg, Reuters and Capital IQ to support live transactions and new business development Develop and use complex financial models to advise clients on financial structures, viability, sensitivity and scenario analysis Develop management presentations and information memorandums and support clients though attendance and participation in meetings Manage transaction admin and QRM compliance including assisting in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders Support the identification of appropriate opportunities with existing/potential clients Use existing anchor relationships and support the process of winning new clients for EY services beyond CDA Present to clients and actively engage in new business development Work with clients to take proposals to market, interact with target funders and assist with presentation of the opportunity in the most effective way Be involved in negotiating and structuring the transaction to successful completion Be a strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships with individuals, organisations and clients Manage small teams Help to create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Qualifications To qualify, candidates must have: Strong academic record with 5-7 years of related work experience and professional/postgraduate qualification (CPA/CFA/ MBA/CTP/Masters etc.) Local commercial banking experience is essential Strong local banking, finance and accounting skills with knowledge of Islamic finance preferable Highly numeric, with evidence of advanced financial modelling skills and proficiency in detailed financial analysis Excellent command of Excel, Word and PowerPoint An energetic, lateral thinker with an enquiring mind and display a high level of commercial acumen. Commitment to staying at the cutting edge of knowledge in focused industries Strong work initiative and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas Ability to work well within a team Possess a high degree of personal drive and motivation.
