House Painter
Terms of Employment: Seasonal, Part Time leading Full Time, On Call, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $10.00 to $18.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Bonus, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Fredericton, New Brunswick (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): WHMIS Certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Major Work Area: Repainting, Wall coverings
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential
Area of Wall Covering Specialization: Wallpaper, Vinyl
Surface Preparation Experience: Drywall taping/patching
Type of Equipment Experience: Brush painting, Roller painting
Wood Finishing Specializations: Staining
Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Specific Skills: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, Repair cracks and holes, Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Uniform
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver's licence
