Description this position is responsible for facilitating the procurement of materials and related services required to fulfill manufacturing schedules in a cost effective manner.

Essential Responsibilities: Coordinate materials and resources to effectively develop and execute on manufacturing Schedules. Issue and manage purchase orders with suppliers to assure timely delivery of materials. Partner with suppliers for efficient material management and cost out opportunities.  Manage consigned inventory at subcontractors to assure accuracy and proper control.  Coordinate with Materials Manager to negotiate and settle claims with suppliers regarding damage, rejections, losses, return of materials, over shipments and cancellations.  Develop short- and long-term solutions that address material shortages to minimize production down time and impact on customer service.  Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and company goals and objectives.

Qualifications/Requirements:  Any Bachelors degree or Bachelors degree related to Logistics.  A minimum of 2 years of relevant operations experience including scheduling, planning, inventory control and Supply Chain.  Must be an expert in SAP MM implementation and end-user workings. Germany Certification is not necessary.
