About the Role
The AFG Home Loans Team are looking for driven individual's who enjoy a phone based customer service environment and are keen to progress their career in the finance industry. Sitting within our AFG Home Loans division, this role forms part of a greater Mortgage Management business and is a key growth area for AFG. As part of a national customer service team, responsibilities include the coordination of home loan queries in settlements, construction loans, day to day banking enquires, all the way through to discharging a home loan.
At AFG, we service our customers over the phone and not face to face so it is imperative our phone based customer service team are happy. With this in mind, we've steered clear of those harsh call centre targets, minute to minute tracking and other nasty stigmas that go with a call centre – instead we simply want people who genuinely enjoy speaking with customers and have an innate helpful quality. About the Day to Day:
    Foremost, you will be speaking with customers over the phone to assist in their mortgage and banking related queries
    You will manage everything from the post settlement of a mortgage, coordinating with our customers, lenders, brokers, insurers and solicitors throughout the process.
    As you become more familiar with our general processes, you will gain experience in construction loan draw downs and discharges.
    There will also be miscellaneous loan administration tasks that you encounter along the way (E.g. loan variations)
About You:
    Prior experience in customer service with experience talking to customers over the phone
    Knowledge of the mortgage process - the more knowledge the better!
    Professional, friendly and helpful personal qualities
    Excellent communication skills
    Great attention to detail when completing administration tasks with the ability to prioritise tasks
    Genuine enjoyment in talking to customers and helping them with their queries
    An open mind with a flexible attitude - we're always improving and it important we get input and support
