Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Area of Specialization: Interior design (general), Architectural design, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Kitchen, Furniture design
Work Setting: Product manufacture, Self-employed consulting, Company/corporation
Specific Skills: Estimate cost of projects and prepare detailed specifications, Arrange and make sales, Know products, materials and installation techniques, Know standards and codes currently in force, Know computer-aided drafting (CAD), Create interior spaces that reflect clients' needs and tastes
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Driver's validity licence check
Own Tools/Equipment: Cellular phone
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking
Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Air conditioned
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own vehicle
