Frontend Web Developer

The UI Developer will join the web development team and be responsible implementing responsive designs on high traffic web properties. Working alongside the creative elements of the business the successful candidate will create exciting new user interaction for web applications used by millions of customers.

Responsibilities:

    * Development of new features and application enhancements
    * Responsible for design and implementation of high quality Web UI.
    * Work closely with design teams to push design vision to the web.
    * Shape the technical landscape for web optimisation and performance for the web group.
    * Evaluating new web technology and pushing adaptation of new techniques and libraries.

Skills

    * Expertise working with Javascript, CSS/CSS3 and HTML5
    * Full knowledge of cross platform display issues between major browsers and platforms
    * Experience with responsive layouts and designing mobile web applications and sites for mobile devices.
    * Experience developing applications with PHP5 or other comparable language.
    * Expertise in one or more of the following toolkits: JQuery, Dojo, Prototype, YUI
    * Knowledge of responsive design techniques with an emphasis on responsive design.
    * Must be fluent with Linux
    * Degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline.


Desired Skills:

    * Knowledge multiple Javascript frameworks
    * Ability to design load and performance test scenarios
    * Fluency in Python/Django, Ruby on Rails or Node.js is a definite plus
