Managed by Communities at Work (C at W), The Galilee School which is located at a dedicated site in Kambah, is an alternative secondary school (years 7-10) providing best practice teaching and learning for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people.
The Galilee School is seeking to recruit a passionate teacher who has a sound understanding of the challenges of education for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who may exhibit behavioural problems. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of individual learning plans and educational programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum and based upon Project Based Learning. The role also requires an individual who is able to professionally demonstrate excellent communication skills with other teaching staff and the business manager.
Other attributes to this role, include:
    A sound understanding of the Australian Curriculum;
    A current registration with the Teachers Quality Institute (TQI).
It should be noted that teachers with a Primary School Education qualification are encouraged to apply.
This position is part-time for two (2) days per week with a commencement date for Term 2, 2014, and will be for a fixed term of six (6) months, with the possibility of ongoing.

Remuneration will be in the range of $53.589 - $63,587 pro rata dependent upon qualifications and years of teaching experience as per the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2010.
