Reporting to the Rental Business Manager, the Peak Systems Specialist will work within the rental team ensuring optimum Client satisfaction in the field deploying Peak products. Ideally the candidate will be located in either Perth, Western Australia | Aberdeen, Scotland | Kemaman, Malaysia or Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Peak Systems Specialist will supervise the operation of Peak equipment and associated tools in the intervention of oil and gas wells. The main objective being to ensure that all contracted work is carried out in the field as per Peak’s and the Client’s operating and HSE guidelines. This position will ensure the reputation of Peak through quality operations and management.
The incumbent will be expected to work in the field (offshore and onshore) on a regular basis with time in the office and workshop as required to manage projects and learn about the company’s procedures and tools.
The principle accountabilities are:
Manage in the field all Peak and any third party contractors that are under the Peak Systems Specialist’s control
Management and maintenance of equipment in the field. This will include being fully aware of Peak’s fishing tools, SIM products and other products as they are brought onto the market.
Ensure timely delivery of tools and services to the field
Provide all necessary reports from the field (including daily reports, HSE audits, inspections, pre-job meetings)
Review and update Operational Procedural Guidelines for tools and services
Supervise and train other operational staff in the field
Introduce and promote new Peak products to Clients and provide training to staff
Assist the Operations and Engineering teams with new tool ideas and sales and marketing strategies for those tools
Regular international travel to support sales and marketing of the Peak business
Assist with the growth of Peak’s industry recognition as a preferred supplier of wireline tools and tool service expertise
Criteria:
Highly qualified and experienced well services engineer with a proven track record
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in wireline activity, preferably with offshore and subsea experience and fishing experience looked upon favourably
Very good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation
High level of mechanical aptitude, needing to maintain and service equipment in the field
Proactive, innovative, and able to work unsupervised
Excellent decision making capability
Highly motivated and capable of motivating subordinates
Excellent knowledge of HSEQ Systems and Procedures
Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite of products)
Good commercial awareness
