Tool Designer – Welding Fixtures Automotive Kwa-Zulu Natal and Eastern Cape Residents only. DESign is the largest independent design and systems Integration Company in South Africa. DESign places great emphasis on the process and planning stages to ensure the job is on-time and right the first time Because we are an innovative organization, we offer our client's pragmatic solutions in Engineering, Robotics, Automation and Manufacturing, we currently have an opening in our Engineering Department for a Mechanical Engineer who has experience in applying sound engineering principles in the development and documentation of precision welding fixtures to be used in manufacturing and engineering, including 3D Design and Detailing.

The main duties will include the design and construction of 3D welding fixtures with enhanced mobility, functionality and versatility. Develop and train on automotive welding processes including spot welding and materials handling. Support the manufacturing process and work cell simulation, validation and offline robot programming for the welding process.

Construct tool user requirements based on safety and maintenance. Applicants must be able to interpret requirements and address design parameters and engineering problems to ensure solutions are accurately implemented. Analyse project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting the design. Detailing, drafting, laying out and specifying technical devices.

A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering would be an advantage , Minimum of two years practical experience in the automotive industry, Must be able to travel both locally and internationally, Overtime, Competitive Remuneration Package, Medical Aid, Provident Fund
