PICSA is a young financial administration company transforming the financial landscape for low income workers. We help employers set up financial services stokvels for their employees in order to improve their financial well being by giving them access to a range of cost effective financial products.

As an Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in helping us instill financial order across our business units and assisting with the measurement of their performance. You will provide financial, accounting and administrative support for these areas and report directly into the CFO.

Job duties: Maintain & develop appropriate internal controls, Manage & maintain the integrity of the loan administration program, Perform appropriate loans and savings reconciliations, Process of supplier and customer invoices, Loading of payments, Ad hoc reporting, accounting and administrative support to business unit

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of work experience AND an accounting related diploma, Fluent in English and Afrikaans, Attention to detail and the ability to do reconciliations accurately and efficiently, Excellent communication and people skills - both verbal and written, Strong administrative and analytical skills, Strong IT skills (MS Word, MS Excel, Pastel), Good personal financial discipline and a desire to help others with their finances, Team player, problem solver and able to work unsupervised is an important requirement

Advantageous requirements: Accounting related bachelor's degree, 3 to 5 years of accounting related work experience, Experience in the financial services industry (e.g. savings, investment, loans and etc.), Proven track record in meeting targets and deadlines, Background in the agricultural sector,Gross Salary: R8k to R12k depending on experience and skillset.
