As one of our Community Managers, you will be responsible for communicating to players through various media, along with gathering their feedback and provide community insight to producers and developers. You will also be in charge of designing, planning and coordinating events and activities for the players. Community Manager is a role that will offer a wide array of tasks and responsibilities beyond these core functions, so as part of your skillset, you will also need an ability to spot opportunities and to quickly adapt to new challenges.

 

Job Duties:

Your main job duties will include - but will not be limited to:

    * Manage and grow the community
    * Converse with the players via forums / social media / newsletters / IM / Skype / owl… Even IRL…
    * Produce data-backed community insights and reports
    * Identify acquisition and/or retention opportunities and act on them
    * Design, plan and coordinate targeted community building / management actions
    * Encourage and increase visibility of enthusiastic players (IE art and machinima makers, etc.)
    * Encourage and facilitate fan-site initiatives
    * Evaluate trade-show opportunities and attend them if needed
    * Be a point of contact for media interviews and relations
    * Leverage social media to increase organic acquisition

 

Position Requirements:

    * Fluent French speaker with impeccable writing skills
    * Fluent speaker of English with excellent communication
    * At least 1 year of experience as a Community Manager for a video game company
    * Knowledge of social media sites and viral marketing
    * Great affinity with people – both in the workplace and within the community
    * Strong self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
    * Must be result-driven, with an ability to circumvent blockers in order to deliver
    * Strong collaborative “soft-skills” to work in teams
    * Positive and enthusiastic attitude
    * Ability to rationally evaluate priorities and manage your time
    * General familiarity with internet-based applications and text processing
    * Working knowledge of web & forum technology (HTML, PhpBB, vBulletin…) a great plus.
