Job description
We are looking for an innovative candidate who will be able to maintain and promote a favorable public image for our brand. This role involves a wide range of different tasks focusing on public relations and content management tasks, including writing and editing reports, press releases, web copy, blog posts, newsletters and other promotional documents such as brochures.
The individual will be responsible for maintaining our social media presence, and must have an understanding of business and marketing strategy, and how to use different forms of social media accordingly.
Key performance areas:
• Generating content for press releases, blog posts, web copy and newsletters
• Compile media releases and liaise with members of the media
• Collate and analyse media coverage
• Monitor trends in social media and appropriately apply that knowledge to increasing the use of social media for the Ramp Group of companies
• Conduct consistent research and analysis of the businesses reputations as represented by the content across all types of online media
• Increase perceptions of the brands within the group by creating opportunities to listen to and engage with consumers
• Gain insights about competitors and their customers' perceptions about their products and services
• Proactively solve online reputation problems and maximise the appearances of positive online references about the companies within the group
• Strategize with the management teams on ways to incorporating relevant social media techniques into the culture of all the companies, and their products and services
• Measure the impact of social media on the overall marketing efforts
• Plan and execute social media campaigns and competitions
• Research and blog on a regular basis about cutting edge technology, new product releases, and trends in the technology realm
• Source and manage speaking opportunities and media coverage for the directors
• Maintain companies' presence on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
• Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
• Compile and distribute newsletters
• Maintaining and updating information on the companies' websites
Requirements
Minimum requirements
• Degree in Public Relations Management, and a minimum of three years PR and/or communications and/or content management
• Technology industry knowledge
• Social media tools and techniques
• Media relations (candidate will preferably have a list of technology media contacts)
• Content management
• Online newsletter tools (i.e. campaign monitor/constant contact)
• WordPress knowledge
• Marketing (traditional, new/social media, guerrilla and 'word of mouth')
