Truck Owner Operator
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Remuneration Based on Commission Only, Bonus, Other Benefits

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: No experience
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Flatbed
Type of Travel: Long-haul
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Owner-operator business skills
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
