Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Gas Fitter Trade Certification, Provincial Gas Fitter Licence, Driver's License
Experience: 5 years or more

Area of Specialization: Gas leak detection, Connections of piping, ranges, dryers, barbecues and other appliances, Connections of furnaces, boilers, space heaters and forced air heaters
Specific Skills: Measure and mark reference points for installation, Maintain and service heating units and components, Repair and service gas appliances, Educate clients about safety and maintenance of gas units, Install gas appliances, Start-up and adjust new or repaired equipment, Test and replace defective equipment or components
