Job Description: CH2M would like to recruit a Fire Systems Technician. Our Fire Systems Technician career offers you the opportunity to provide critical testing, inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair on fire suppression systems vital to the safe operation Airports. In this position, you would ensure that the fire protection systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) operate effectively within our client requirements. At CH2M we deliver safe, reliable and extremely competitive integrated facilities management services that focus on enhancing the life-cycle and performance output of our International Airport client's equipment and assets.

Duties and Responsibilities: Conducting performance tests and recording that information into the client's asset management system. Supporting the work of outside contractors on behalf of our client to complete special projects, and responding to and reporting the location of fire alarms received. Poss working knowledge of fire alarm systems, fire suppression systems, and fire extinguisher maintenance in a commercial/industrial setting. Use expertise to complete repairs on air compressors, accelerators, and motors. Responsible for cutting, threading, and hanging sprinkler pipe and installing various types of sprinkler heads. Have experience in working with low-voltage systems and with fire system components (gauges, valves, modules, motors, compressors, etc.) Use lifts and ladders in the performance of your assignments, which may also be completed in a variety of weather conditions. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, along with experience using basic technology, such as a computer work station and radio. Other work scheduling requirements may also apply during extreme weather events to ensure necessary coverage. Weekend, holiday and alternate shift work could also be required to meet client requirements.

The minimum qualifications for this position are: One (1) to three (3) years' experience working in the testing, inspection, servicing, preventive maintenance, and repair of fire alarm and fire suppression systems (wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge). Associates or Bachelor's degree
