Job description
New Media Publishing is looking for a digital designer to join their digital team. This is a new position, stemming from the growth in our digital portfolio for brands across our consumer and custom divisions.
The digital designer will play a key role in the design of digital assets for New Media Publishing, transforming creative strategies and innovative solutions into tangible deliverables, meeting audience needs and driving revenue goals.

The role
•Design of digital products including website, apps, newsletters, etc.
•Produce concepts to serve as inputs in development process for website designs and improvements
•Develop design briefs and concepts with focus on user experience and play a role in the online look and feel for multiple brands
•Stay abreast of new online trends, technologies and advances in web and digital design
•Ensure all online creative content produced is accessible and usable meeting best practice HTML/CSS coding standards
•Assume a mentorship role to grow and enable print designers
Requirements
•Four to five years experience preferably within media/magazine industry
•Creative design including layout/composition, typography and aesthetic coherence
•Responsive design for web and mobile platforms
•Design portfolio showcasing digital design skills in social, mobile and web applications
•Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
•Skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator
•Knowledge of UI/UX
•Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and After Effects
•Able to work towards deadlines and provide accurate timeframes
