Job description
The Western Province Blood Transfusion Service is a non-profit organisation whose mission is to collect, process and distribute blood throughout the Western Cape.
Role purpose:
Reporting to the medical director/CEO the successful incumbent will be responsible for the management of the Public Relations and Promotions Department.
Responsibilities:
•Management of PR, promotions, and customer care departments.
•Formulation of communication strategy in order to achieve corporate objectives.
•Development and initiation of strategies to ensure a continuous blood supply.
•Implementation of research and development projects regarding donor recruitment.
•Preparation and management of the departmental budget.
Minimum requirements:
•Three to four year Degree/Diploma in Communication/PR/Marketing.
•Ten years\' experience with at least five years at a managerial level.
•Experience in the blood service environment will be an advantage.
