Job description
South Africa\'s leading content-marketing agency, New Media Publishing, is looking for a full-time online content producer to work on a leading financial institution\'s account, commencing as of 1 July 2014. If you are interested in variation, are a creative thinker and thrive on the challenges of short deadlines, we would like to hear from you.
We would like to appoint a person who\'ll work to our high online-publishing standards and help us develop an excellent website.
The ideal candidate will have an active interest in business and lifestyle content but more importantly, will have an understanding of, a love for, and experience in working in an online environment.
He or she will have the poise and maturity to deliver work that is consistently up to our high standards and will work with a highly experienced and professional team.
Competencies required
•A journalism and/or online media qualification, with at least three years\' experience working in an online/digital environment
•Technology-savvy and in touch with international trends in various media genres
•Knowledge of CMS (Content Management Systems)
•Basic knowledge of HTML
•Photoshop and manipulating images for the web
•Strong organisational and admin skills
•Experience in social media applications, including Twitter and Facebook
•Experience in managing online communities
•Confidence and the ability to self-manage, but still able to work within a team
•An ability to take initiative
•A high level of organisation with an eye for accuracy and detail
•An ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
•An ability to manage complex tasks and workflow
•An ability to work under pressure and be deadline-oriented
