Job description
One of our clients in Durban is looking for a dedicated individual to fill the position of a designer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
The primary function of the designer is to deliver and execute high quality design work that contributes to or creates the overall look and feel of the project, ensuring the work is in line with the visual concept, brand and creative brief supplied.
The designer must work cohesively with their team, formulating artwork, scamps, sketches, scripts and storyboards, assisting with conceptualizing ideas and designs based on the client\'s specifications.
The designer is required to motivate and educate employees with whom he/she interacts regarding the intentions, milestones and outputs specific to the specialist field of creative.
Integrating and maintaining a sound relationship with client service, traffic, production, DTP, finished art and strategists to ensure that his/her vision is delivered by driving a culture of creativity throughout the business.
Requirements
Post-graduate degree or National Diploma, majoring in Art Direction, Design, Packaging and Art Theory
Extensive experience as a designer from a reputable advertising agency
Ability to create polished and imaginative work through their concept development and graphic design ability
A portfolio that demonstrates creative skills together with the results of the activities to prove it (award winning)
Capability to take on campaigns with multi-element tasks which requires a concept and a thought-through process
Financial and budget control ability
Completely Mac literate in all relevant programs
