Whilst the focus of this vacancy is on the pastry section, the job will also overlap with food preparation in the hot, cold and other sections of the kitchen. This position reports to the Head Chef. The following important criteria will be taken into account in considering applications: Knowledge, creativity and artistic ability to prepare eye, catching pastries and desserts. Must be expert and attentive about the ingredients. Ability to manage time effectively. Great communication skills. Keeping a track of supplies and ordering as necessary. Look into the production of baked goods. Receiving and storing of goods. HACCAP and hygiene control. Participate in monthly stock takes in line with company procedures. Attending meetings as and when required. Must work well in a team environment
