An exciting career opportunity exists with my client, a Leading Wholesale and Retail distribution Company for a 2IC (Second in Charge) to manage and direct the efficient operation of their Tools/Electrical & Plumbing Department, in order to maximize sales and profitability.

Requirements: Matric/Grade 12. Tertiary education would be advantageous, Experience in Wholesale/Retail trade would be advantageous, Product knowledge of Hand and Power Tools/electrical/Plumbing departments would be an advantage, Ability to manage Stock levels, clean and well merchandised stock, Computer Literate in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, Behavioural Competency, No unstable job history, Valid and clean drivers license & own transport, Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, Ability to lead/manage/discipline staff, Ability to counsel and coach to maintain happy enthusiastic staff, Strong Customer relations and ability to handle customer problems, Good interpersonal skills, Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, Ability to work accurately, meticulous and high attention to detail, Enthusiastic, Self Driven, energetic with a positive "Can do" attitude

Responsibility Duties include the following, but not limited to: Responsible for Staff Management. Managing customer needs and requirements. Ensuring correct POS procedures are followed & exceptional customer service. Support, uphold, and enforce all Company policies. Recognize the cause of shrink and works effectively to control losses and help to increase profits. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and maximize sales without merchandise out of stocks. Ensure that the correct pricing is maintained and that all merchandise is in-code and saleable. Maintains high standards of store image ensuring that the store is clean, well-stocked, and ready for business. Strive to increase sales through suggestive selling skills/techniques and to consistently improve customer service. Ensure information flows to all Store Associates and advises management of significant events affecting the store. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
