Location, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, Continuous Improvement Manager. My client from an automotive concern is seeking a CI Manager to join their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements: A 3 to 4-year Degree/Diploma in Engineering. Trained as a Black-Belt Six-Sigma candidate at the minimum. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in operations, preferred in the automotive industry.  Experience in leading teams or project implementations, solving quality related (defect) problems. Demonstrated ability to drive data based change throughout the organization. Excellent leadership skills and analytical ability.

Responsibilities: Actively participate in scheduling and conducting Lean and Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt training. Complete minimum of 2 Six Sigma projects per year, along with the required documentation and complete and implement 4 Lean / Kaizen events per year. Sustain knowledge transfer through training, coaching and support Green Belts in their projects and focus certification of Green Belts. Conduct regular Process Excellence meeting and monthly project presentation to the OPS Team. Ensure on time reporting of Lean and Six Sigma performance. Focus on achieving Lean and Six Sigma savings as per AOP. Organize and conduct TMS training for all applicable people in the plant. Track A3 submissions and presentations with applicable coaching.
