Medical Equipment Technician, with relevant NQF level 6 Location, Kempton Park, East Rand, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time

Job Summary: Installation, Service and Maintenance of Medical Equipment and Hospital Furniture. Compliance with regulations and quality standards; Regular preventative maintenance; Complete weekly maintenance work reports; Collection and delivery of equipment; Assures product quality by electrical testing methods and testing installed system capabilities; Prepare product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends; Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests from clients and consultants; Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; Update and maintain product data base on an on-going basis; Complete projects by training and guiding consultants and end users; Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies, and regular interaction with local and international manufacturers.

Minimum Requirements: N-Dip or B-tech Degree: Clinical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Relevant NQF Level 6). CEASA registration advantageous. Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Medical Field. Essential to have strong IT and Microsoft Office Skills, network skills will be advantageous. Extremely organised and well planned, must be able to multi-task. Excellent Telephone skills, fluent in English. Conversational Afrikaans will be advantageous. Experience on Pastel Partner very advantageous

Package: Will only be negotiated with the top applicants, and will be based on your current experience, suitability for the role, potential for growth and current package. A Fuel Card, Mobile device and Laptop will be part of the package.

Office: Consultant may be based in either Pretoria N4 Gateway Business Park or Kempton Park Branch, but should be flexible and must visit the Head Office in Kempton Park at least 3 times per week.

Monthly visits to Western Cape, KZN and other provinces will be essential.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, but overtime and overnight visits to outlying hospitals may be part of your responsibilities.
