Description: The .NET Developer is responsible for implementing major feature components for internal solutions, technical projects, developing internal tools and libraries and providing third level support for production applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skills and enable collaboration with the other departments as required
Prepare detailed design specifications to address both functional and non-functional requirements for major feature components
Collaborate with team members to estimate development tasks
Complete software programming tasks including development, unit testing, integration testing and documentation
Effectively collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve defects
Provide third level support for resolving production and customer support issues
Continuously provide technical improvements to internal tools and libraries
Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities using effective judgment for prioritizing tasks and allocating time
Present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality
Desired Skills and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires varying degrees of expertise:
University/College education or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline
Minimum 5+ years of development experience in .NET technologies including C#, VB.Net, WPF or Silverlight and WCF
Minimum 5+ years of development experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, ASP.NET, Web Services and MVC
Minimum 5+ years of experience building multi-tier, distributed web or mobile applications
Minimum 5+ years of experience with data modeling, proven experience with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, DB maintenance
Thorough understanding of theoretical concepts such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architecture
Excellent knowledge of MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, Source Control and MS Office
Strong software development skills on the Windows platform including Windows Server 2003/2008 and Windows XP/8. Knowledge and understanding of internet and networking TCP/IP protocol
Strong problem solving abilities, and ability to pick up and adapt to new concepts quickly
Strong ability to follow prescribed development standards and to work as a team player
Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Familiarity with the Construction Industry is a plus
