POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities are situated in the following domains:
As member of the team, for customer facing applications in a 24/7 environment.
Design, implementation, maintenance and support of production systems.
Work closely with the Operations team, Engineering team and other Service Delivery departments.
Report to the UNIX Systems Team Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS
College or University degree in computer science or equivalent degree.
3 years of hands-on, verifiable UNIX experience.
Solid working experience with IBM AIX and modern Linux versions.
Understanding of standard UNIX services such as DNS, FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMTP, NTP, etc.
Familiar with Web Services such as HTTPS, HTTP, CGI and HTML.
Proven scripting skills.
Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent project/task management skills.
Must be able to work in a team setting.
Ability to effectively handle multiple concurrent projects.
Skills in medium scale projects.
Excellent and proven communication (verbal and written) and consensus-building skills.
Service-oriented and solution driven.
Must be process-driven and project-focused.
Must participate in rotating on-call shifts.
Must have superior problem-solving skills.
Responsible and accountable.
Certification(s) for UNIX type environments are highly desirable.
