The duties of the successful applicant will include the following below: Customer-Service: You are to be friendly and courteous to customers in the Cruise ship. Attention to Detail: You have to keep your eyes on a lot of elements: food standards, costs, safety, etc. Leadership: You must be leaders in the back of house, rallying your team during heavy shifts, resolving conflicts and getting the job done. Management Skills: You are not to only deal with food, you have to also deal with costs, pricing, creating work schedules and more. Organizational Skills: Keeping work schedules, shipments, cleaning schedules and more organized is crucial to the job. Problem-Solving Skills: Dealing with employee conflict, irate customers and wrong stock orders is part of a your job. Being able to come up with a solution. Speaking Skills: You need to accurately and easily communicate standards and cooking methods to staff, give orders and speak with customers clearly. Stamina: You can expect long days around hot cooking elements. Applicants must be willing to relocate and also be fond of the ocean. It involves a lot of traveling.
