Cashier / Sales Assistant Wanted, Location, City Centre, Durban City, This is a hair and beauty shop, that’s stocks and sells different range of hair/beauty products and cosmetics.

A Shop Assistant and cashier is required to performs many of the following tasks: Answering customer questions. Give information about the features, quality and availability of different products. Help customers find products they are looking for in the shop. Arrange orders and deliveries of stock for customers. Make sure that all stock is on display. Be very aware of what all the customers in the shop are doing, to guard against shoplifting. Managing the till, taking money from customers and hanging out receipts. Keeping merchandise orderly and neat in appearance. Handling customer’s complaints in a professional and diplomatic way. Keeping the shop floor clean and tidy at all times. Restocking the sales areas. Giving expert advice to customers regarding products. Cleaning the shop, hovering, polishing etc.

Skills: Good teamwork. Flexibility to do different tasks. Ability to be friendly and polite, even when tired, or under pressure. Ability to follow procedures correctly, such as using a till. Confidence in giving advice and information. Having enough stamina to keep going.
