Location, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time. A Global Events Company requires the services of a Media & Communication Specialist. The applicant should full fill the following criteria

Key Areas Of Responsibility Communication Strategy: Develop communications strategy in line with brand objectives to achieve strategic company goals. Working with sponsors’ PR and communications agencies to leverage sponsor activations. Identify leveraging opportunities with sponsor.Key international markets PR contact engagement and expansion. Facilitate research and production of communication materials including media releases and briefs and pursue coverage opportunities. Implement lead generation campaigns and tactics to grow communication database.

Public Relations Strategy: Identify public relations opportunities around events and throughout the year. Work with sponsors’ PR agencies to leverage media coverage opportunities

Television Productions: Manage all elements of TV Productions and syndication. Manage production company and other service providers relating to TV productions. Manage live television processes and engage with television network and production teams in execution. Manage sponsor rights across live and post-produced productions. Manage global TV syndication. Responsible for all TV and related deliverables (on-event and throughout the year). Work with international production companies to assist with deliverables for international broadcast agreements.

Digital Communication: Drive development of digital elements and introduction of new media technologies. Identify opportunities to implement digital applications that align with communications strategy. Maintenance and development of the event mobile app

Social Media: Develop and manage social media strategy for event brands. Work with EMEA and global social media managers to integrate regional and global social media strategy. Work with sponsors’ social media agencies to integrate sponsor social media strategy

Media Management: Liaising with and building relationships with key media. Managing event media partnerships and identifying new media partnership opportunities.

Media Reporting: Working with media monitoring service providers to monitor media coverage across traditional, online and social media. Compile media coverage reports to be used in event reporting documents and sponsorship proposals.

Content Production: Produce content for use online, public relations opportunities, social media platforms and where required.

Key Attributes: Presentable and professional. Exceptionally strong communication skills in written and spoken formats. A strong command of the English language is non-negotiable. Ability to write press releases effectively. Attention to detail. Thorough understanding of the various Social Media Platforms. Able to develop social media strategies and execute these effectively. Ability to engage the media and extract value for our company and partners. Ability to work in a team. Ability to work in stressful situations. Be prepared to travel as and when required. Be able to communicate with a wide variety of people on different levels. Be a self starter with excellent time management. Package will be based on Experience.
