Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
Experience: Experience an asset
Work Setting: Nursing or convalescent home
Area of Specialization: General duty, Geriatrics
Specific Skills: Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions, Collaborate to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care, Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients\' conditions, Provide nursing care, Deliver immunization programs, Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
Additional Skills: Death counselling, Infection control
