Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Basic cardiac life support (BCLS), First Aid Certificate, Continuing care assistant certification
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home
Specific Skills: Take patients\' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Lift, turn or massage patients, Supervise patients\' exercise routines, Bathe, dress and groom patients, Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher, Answer call signals, Collect specimens
Additional Skills: Supply and empty bed pans, Serve meal trays and feed patients, Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens, Make beds and maintain patients\' rooms
