Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of university
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association, Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
Experience: 5 years or more
Area of Specialization: Electrical, Electronics (industrial), Control systems, Plant maintenance engineering, Computer design, Electronic test equipment
Type of Work Experience: Design, Project management, Project planning, Research and development, Operations or production, Quality assurance or control, Specification or technical writing, Computer software development, Purchasing, procurement and contracts, Health and safety
Specific Skills: Conduct feasibility, design operation and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks, Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications, Design electrical and electronic components, systems and equipment, Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment, Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment, Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
