Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications
Truck Mechanic Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer\'s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service
Additional Skills: Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor, Complete reports to record problems and work performed, Estimate parts and labour costs, Coach and instruct apprentices
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
