Millwright / Maintenance Technician, Location, Other, Southern Suburbs, Job Type Full-Time.

Key Accountabilities but not limited to: Key focus areas - Quality, Cost and Accountability.

Financial Accountabilities: Provide process and technical support to the Production team in order to maintain and optimize the Production process, machine stability and uptime ensuring that the machinery is running at optimum speed with a clear focus on uptime and Safety. To provide technical  and mechanical maintenance support with regards to the machinery and equipment in and around the factory building focussing on Breakdown fault finding, trouble shooting and rectification and correction thereof. To manage all repairs/routine checks to machinery and equipment in the plant. This may include occasional overtime/after hours’ support.

 Customer Accountabilities: To provide support and assistance to the Production Manager in meeting customer expectations through optimising machinery uptime through a proactive Machine and maintenance strategy.

Internal Operational Accountabilities: To assist with running repairs on machinery and other factory areas by assessing the problem and determining a course of action and where necessary consult with the Maintenance Manager to make the decision to call in specialist assistance. To carry out routine cleaning, lubrication, inspection and designated work in accordance with the Planned Maintenance Schedules for all machinery and equipment and maintain records of maintenance carried out. Where Job Cards have been issued for work required, ensure that these are sorted out within the shortest possible timeframe. To attend meetings as and when required and ensure feedback is given daily on issues as they arise. Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times. Maintain accurate and up-to-date paperwork with regards to the maintenance being carried out, including filling out the relevant job cards.

 Consistent implementation and verification of the effectiveness and compliance to the relevant elements of the BRC process and system Ensure Operations Procedures and/or other communications from Management are adhered to at all times. Complete Occupational Health and Safety checklists as and when required. Maintenance of the Tool Register for all hand tools. Drive the concepts of continuous improvement and development within the Department and throughout the Business. To complete the necessary reporting and ensure feedback is provided as and when requested and timeously.
