Persona staff is assisting a well-known Financial Services company in their search for an experienced Fund Accountant who has a passion for exceptional service in the provision of pension fund accounting administration.

Requirements: Matric Certificate with strong mathematical and accounting abilities. Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understanding of accounting principles. Respectable presentation and professionalism. Must have good organisational and time management skills. Client service focused. Good attention to detail/ accurateness. Must have a positive attitude and be adaptable for change. Must have a proactive approach. Must be willing able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities: Processing of receipts and payments through the accounting system. Daily loading of payments into the banking system and reporting of outstanding payments. Updating of the contribution register upon receipts of monies from each pay point. Monthly settlement of bank accounts and all relevant general ledger control accounts.

Reporting on monthly cash flow. Compiling of year-end audit files for review by Manager/ Head. Willingness to assist on tasks of fellow Fund Accountants whenever there is a need due to staff being on leave.

Personal Attributes: Trustworthy and hard working. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work well under pressure. Good multitasking skills. Must be able to take initiative and work well under pressure.
