Financial Accountabilities: Assist in ensuring the effective implementation of the Quality Management system for Liqui-Box. To effectively managing the storage of non-conforming material so as to avoid damage and in turn financial loss to the company. To effectively managing the storage of NPD products and records so as to avoid loss of records to the company.

Customer accountabilities: To conduct verification tests and record results of finished goods on a daily basis according to the QC procedure to ensure conformance to agreed specifications and the certificates of conformance. To conduct quality inspections on incoming material where necessary to ensure the quality of final product. To provide certificates of conformance with all customer deliveries following product verification.

Internal Operational Accountabilities: Testing and recording of production material on a daily basis according to the QC procedure and within the given timelines. Liaise with the operators on a daily basis to arrange testing samples. Filing retained samples weekly in allocated storage space in such a manner that these can easily be retrieved when necessary. Managing and discarding of the retaining samples as per the records control procedure. Planning and controlling Mocon testing to ensure optimum testing capacity and usage of the machine, e.g.; 8hr cycles. Report out-of-specification production results or deviations from the norm to the NPD & Quality Manager.

Test and record results of New Product Development trials as per the agreed timelines according to the customer order or signed off specification and to inform the Quality Controller if these are not available to test against.

To develop and update all COC’s and machine set up sheets as required. To develop and update product data sheets. To develop and update documentation when needed for BRC. Update and maintain Laboratory procedures and Best Practices. Communicate any malfunctioning Laboratory equipment. Maintain good housekeeping standards in the Laboratory at all times. Follow the standard Occupational Health and Safety regulations at all times and complete OHS checklists as and when required.

Consistent implementation and verification of the effectiveness and compliance to the relevant elements of the BRC. Ensure Operations Procedures and/or other communications from Management are adhered to at all times. When required Conduct Verification Quality control tests and monitor quality control tests conducted on the production floor and report out of specification RM, WIP, FG immediately to the NPD & Quality Manager.

 To confirm and report that job cards are raised for defective equipment & raise job cards for quality related issues. Develop and maintain any new testing method or request from our customers within reason.
