We are a part of a leading global group in Industrial Refrigeration. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to fill the position of General Manager.
The General Manager function will be in charge ofJordan office, plus possible future branches offices.
During the startup phase the market in Jordan was served from the office in the UAE, starting 2010 the Jordan market will be served from an office in Jordan.
The Country Manager is responsible for development of the GRADE office in Jordan and will co-ordinate and the further expansion of GRADE in the Jordan market. He reports directly to the Management team of GRADE.
The Country manager is expected to:
- Actively search for new projects, customers and business opportunities.
- Translates a customer request into a system design and set of specifications.
- Prepares quotation calculation including technical specifications.
- Negotiate and finalize potential orders.
- Manage a structured growth of the office into an autonomous operation.
- Implement and follow up guidelines of the GRADE General Manager.
- Report on a monthly basis to the GRADE General Manager.
Requirements:
- Studied mechanical engineering and/or refrigeration.
- Must have Industrial Refrigeration experience
- Knowledge of the industrial refrigeration market.
- Familiar with the food and logistics sector.
- Experienced in sales, familiar with international contracts and payment conditions.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
- Excellent knowledge of the Arabic language.
- Very strong communicator.
- A minimum of five years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight.
- A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration.
- A minimum of three years of experience working with a board of directors and committees.
- College graduate or equivalent experience.
- Proven skills in business and financial management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with student member - owners.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.
- Effective problem - solving and mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Demonstrated ability to multi - task and work in a fast - paced office setting.
