ICU Nurse Needed Immediately!
Health Staffing International is looking for skilled Critical Care Nurses to work in the Langley/ Fraser Valley. Rate up to $50/hr based on experience. Must have current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses’ of British Columbia (CRNBC), along with current CPR/First Aide certificates. Ability to assess and manage critical and life-threatening situations. Must be up to date with immunizations/ TB test, and include two written professional references.
Position requires completion of a recognized critical care nursing program or two years\' recent, related critical care experience. Knowledge of the physiological and behavioural aspects of complex critical illnesses and nursing problems commonly encountered in a critical care environment.
Skills include:
    Knowledge of CRNBC\'s standards for nursing practice, knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
    Thorough knowledge of the indications, actions, reactions, routes, dosages, and side effects of anaesthetic and other drugs used in critical care environment.
    Skill in techniques appropriate to a critical care environment, skilled in the use of critical care monitoring and support equipment.
    Ability to:
        Respond immediately and appropriately to sudden emergencies.
        Organize and prioritize workload, work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, ability to plan and implement plans of care.
        Communicate with, and deal effectively with, clients and their families, co-workers, physicians, and other health care staff, and teach clients and their families.
        Communicate in writing accurately, concisely, and clearly along with basic computer literacy to operate a computerized patient care information system.
