Plastics-Processing Machine Setter
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $19.00 to $20.00 Hourly for 44 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: LaSalle, Ontario (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Specific Skills: Unload mixture into container or conveyor for further processing, Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness, Adjust calender rollers for production line change, Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die, Change dies on extruding machines according to production line change, Set up and operate one or more moulding machines to mould plastic products, Prepare and Change moulds and adjust equipment for production line change, Trimming and sanding plastic or fiberglass parts, Write technical and inspection reports
Additional Skills: Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment, Monitor and inspect quality of material produced, Maintain records and inventory, Knowledge of various plastic resins
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Ability to distinguish between colours, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Manual dexterity, Handling heavy loads, Hand-eye co-ordination, Fast-paced environment
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available, Valid driver\'s licence
