Please read ad before applying: Company based in Jacobs requires an experienced Accountant/Book-keeper. Suitable for male candidate due to environment.

Requirements: Qualified Accountant  (minimum, BCom Degree). Candidates with relevant experience may also be considered. Person must be fluent in English (speak / read / write). Valid driver’s license. Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Vast Excel experience a must. Pastel Evolution accounting knowledge. Experience in the preparation and finalisation of accounts in accordance with current South African regulations. Produce and distribute monthly management reports to agreed deadline.

Produce financial reports detailing actual expenditure against forecast to agreed timescales. Develop annual budgets in collaboration with Financial Manager. Manage VIP payroll system and ensure that payments are made to individuals, SARS etc. Strong H.R. knowledge and full function. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements relating to financial control, financial management and accounting.

Oversee all Debt collection staff. Assisting with calling of customers and as when necessary. Ensure appropriate external audit arrangements are in place and manage the audit process when needed. Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are produced on an accurate and timely basis to include bank reconciliations, debtors, creditors and inter-company accounts. Ensure implementation and adherence to finance policies, procedures and systems.

Oversee the day to day activities of the back office. Managing controls and processes. Salary: R14000-R17000pm based on experience.
