The Position: We currently have a position available for a para-planner, in our customer service focused firm, and will consider someone looking for either a part time or full time role. You will be taking on responsibilities such as paraplanning functions, preparing Statements of Advice, Records of Advice and also administering the client review experience for our financial planners as well as occasional administrative support. Therefore we are seeking an individual who is exceptionally skilled with and experienced in interacting with clients who meet our firms ideal client profile. This position requires a high level of autonomy, strong lateral thinking skills and a commitment to process improvement in our high-performance environment.

Primary Responsibilities: Financial Planner assistance & Para-planning work Prepare advice documentation and assist our advisers with compliance obligations, Data entry into financial planning software, Review outgoing materials (inc SoAs) to ensure they are technically and legislatively sound, meet internal standards and adhere to compliance obligations.

Maintenance of financial planning database and client portfolios: Assist adviser in servicing clients by preparing for appointments. Production of records of advice (ROA's) and associated paperwork. Liaising with fund managers, superannuation funds. Production of Fee Disclosure Statements for annual reviews. Production of Opt in/ Renewal notices for reviews. Working with adviser to manage opt in process

Ideally you will bring with you: Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Advanced MS Office and Computing skills are required. Stong MS Excel skills, and a high level of computer literacy are particular crucial. High attention to detail. Ability to work in a small team environment is essential. Ability to work unsupervised. Ability to form professional and lasting relationships with clients. A desire for continual learning

Your hourly rate will be commensurate with your experience, qualifications and skill. This role will commence as soon as possible for the right candidate. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in working in a Financial Planning firm and or use of Financial Planning Software.
