Location, East London, Eastern Cape, Job Type Full-Time. Our client in the manufacturing industry has a vacancy for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the breakdown and maintenance of machinery on the production line.

Min. Requirements: Grade 12/Matric. Min. 2 years’ experience in similar position. Strong mechanical and electrical background in a Manufacturing Industry. Knowledge of moulding, welding, grounding, gearboxes, tools. Valid Driver’s License (company vehicle will be provided). Good understanding of machinery. Must be hands on

The suitable Candidate: Will perform general maintenance and all repairs on machinery. Will perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Perform mechanic skills on Company Vehicles. Maintain sufficient spare parts in stock – Update spares list, ensure spares are in stock and replaced in good time. Receiving of new/modified tooling – Inspect and assess all new tooling. Turnaround time is crucial so ability to work under pressure is required. Staff Supervision. Must be responsible/trustworthy/reliable as opening and closing of warehouse will be required. Must have the ability to use initiative when it comes to challenging situations.

Salary: Market related plus added benefits Salary: R10,000 - R12,000 per month
