What you'll be doing: The Security Department provides a 24-hour Security Service. The primary objectives of the Security Staff at Canterbury Hospital are to ensure the safety of staff, patients and visitors as well as the protection of hospital assets.

Security staff have a duty of care of all patients, staff and visitors to the hospital and are required to participate in crime prevention, deterrence initiatives and risk minimisation strategies. Selection Criteria: Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1 A with current Senior First Aid Certificate. Customer service skills with a high degree of personal integrity and motivation. Sound written and oral communication skills. Concise report writing ability as well as demonstrated computer operating skills with experience using the Microsoft package. Ability to work in a disciplined team environment with minimum supervision.

Previous experience and knowledge of electronic systems such as alarm monitoring systems, access control and CCTV surveillance. Knowledge or experience of Security Services with a Health Service.
