Cook/Chef, Melbourne CBD & Inner Suburbs. Bahari Pty Ltd. is seeking a dynamic cook/chef with a proven track record to work with us in this exciting role.
Skills and Experience: At least two years’ experience as a cook/chef in a fast-paced environment. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Experience in delivering consistently high-quality food to customers. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to plan menus for different cultural/dietary requirements. Ability to work full time (38 hours per week).
Responsibilities: planning and preparing nutritious meals and food items to meet the needs of customers and to those with special dietary requirements and allergies. Order food supplies in consultation with the director. Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks. Ensuring cooking methods, portions and recipes are followed. Maintaining a clean and well-presented kitchen compliant with food safety standards. Work as part of a team to create a safe and friendly work environment. Competitive annual salary package ($50k- $55k + super).
