Hospitality Services Assistant, Rockhampton & Capricorn Coast, Salary, $26.30 - $29.89 per hour, Mercy Health.

About The Position: As the leading private, not for profit hospital and aged care group in Central Queensland, Mercy Health & Aged Care is seeking to recruit a casual Hospitality Services Assistant for our facility in Rockhampton. The Hospitality Services Assistant will contribute to the delivery of effective cleaning and hygiene services to delegated areas of the Hospital as well as prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals. This is an opportunity to join our friendly Hospitality team. The role will involve both Housekeeping and Catering duties and work in a variety of areas within the Hospital. This role is fast paced and physical in nature and will require standing for long periods of time.

Candidates must be able to be flexible with work times and be able to work: a variety of shifts including; early, late, nights (including overnight), week days, weekends, and public holidays; early morning and late evening shifts (shifts vary from 4.30am to 9.30pm); Candidates must be available for all shift types.

We are ideally looking for candidates that have: previous experience in a hospital, aged care facility, or hotel cleaning role; knowledge of current food hygiene principles, practices, and legislation (desirable); reliable transportation (essential). The appropriate salary will be dependent on the period of applicable prior experience. Please note that stated referees may be contacted throughout the short-listing process.
